Highlights of the recent MPRCCC committee meeting held Wednesday 12^th March 2008

• Re: Club Newsletter.

Suggestions for the name of the club newsletter were received and voted on.

The official name for the MPRCCC newsletter will be “PIT LINES”.

• Re: Website

‘Highlights’ of recent committee meetings will now be available on the website.

Photographs of cars and stand at Westernport Festival has been posted on the website.

·         Re: ‘Club Cars’. Types/Models of R.C. cars & prices to be obtained for further discussion.

Quotes have been obtained for the cost of 6 club R.C. cars.

• Re: Finding a suitable product that will be less damaging to the cars to mark out

the track boundaries.

After lengthy discussion ‘Polypipe’ was the choice of material.

90 lengths and 6 x 90 deg. bends will be purchased ASAP.

A track-design working bee will be held on the 15^th March at the school starting at 10am.

• RE. Trailer design and materials required.

Trailer plans were developed and discussions held regarding the materials required.

Steel and required Kit (Axles, springs etc) will be purchased ASAP.

We are still waiting for a written quote for the box for the trailer.

·         New Members

New membership applications were approved by committee members.

The president has received many phone calls from people interested in racing with MPRCCC.

·         Donations

A bakery in Frankston has kindly offered to donate the bread required for catering on MPRCCC race days.

·         Promotional items.

MPRCCC promotional items such as mugs, can holders, key rings, badges and stickers and the use of these items in future were discussed. Quotes are being obtained.

·         The P.O. Box of the club will be relocated to Somerville.

·         A ‘Working Bee’ inventory of the club’s equipment was held.

Announcements & Upcoming Events

·         General Meeting

A General Meeting is scheduled for 9^th of April 2008 at 7.30pm.

·         Social Event

The first social event for the year is planned for Saturday 22^nd June.

The event will be Dinner & Dancing at the Frankston RSL from 7pm.

·         Next Committee Meeting

The next meeting of the ‘Care Taking/Interim committee’ is scheduled for Wednesday 2^nd April in Somerville. 7.30 - 9.30pm.
