Members it was put forward to have our Vortec changed to 27th August, this has been rejected by the Vortec committee for reasons as follows:

Proposed shift of Rnd#2 MPRCCC. It was proposed by the MPRCCC Round #2 on 30TH July be shifted as it was too close to the rescheduled KROMA round. This was rejected by all present. It was agreed that a round may only be rescheduled if it was cancelled on it’s nominated date due to inclement weather.

There's an oddity. When the KROMA round was abandoned due to rain it was re-scheduled for the Queen's Birthday Monday, yet for some reason it's been re-re-scheduled for the 2nd of July.

There is nothing odd about it. - Kroma's round was rained out, nothing we can do about that. Originally their was talk about rescheduling to Queens birthday weekend but this was only heresay. As KROMA do not run on that particular weekend (2nd and 4th) it was deemed unfair to those clubs who did (MPRCCC included). KROMA then approached all other clubs that run on the same weekend they do, being SERCCC. I agreed to the 2nd July giving 4 weeks gap between rounds one and two. This date was emailed to all VORTEC reps 3 weeks ago and no objection was received thus date locked in. AS MPRCCC are asking to move from the designated date that affects NO CLUB as it is a fifth Sunday, their proposal was rejected. Should their be rain on the day, then and only then will we consider rescheduling the round to another date. It is important for the competition that at least three rounds are held to have a VORTEC winner. If any club is in danger of lower numbers it would be KROMA as most people have allready made plans to run at the MPRCCC VORTEC meet as we have known about this date since November last year. If in the event rain comes on that day, then we will reschedule Round two to a date before Round three, so it is not as if MPRCCC are missing out on anything.

I beleive MPRCCC will have "record" entries for the VORTEC round, most people haven't raced in 3 months!
