Im a member of the club thats trying to finally have an offroad track on the peninsula.Now I know the reaction your club members had when we mentoned on our website that the council had asked our club to approach the MPRCCC to consider joining both proposals to include both on and off road on the same site,and we TOTALLY agree with your reasons for it being a bad idea.There is no way possible to have 2 tracks on one site as you have pointed out.We dont want to amalgamate with you guys (no offence) probably as much as you want to stay purely on road but as we said on our forum,We were asked to approach you by the council so we thought it best for both proposals to do as they suggested.So hopefully we can sit down and discuss this as it will do no good at all to not explore all avenues.Remember we want the offroad in the Rosebud area and you guys are based in Somerville.How much distance would you like between the tracks?We hope we can get over this bickering and promote the sport as a whole not as two bits of a sport.

I would suggest you get in contact with the club president to set up such meeting, that way all views can be brought forward. Your right I don’t think you being in Rosebud would clash. Speaking on behalf of one of those who rejected the idea, this was based on radio clashes not on personalities. Any way why stop at one sport when you can have choices of 2.

We would like to see both proposals go through.I think the council should invest some money in a sport other than the more obvious sports.You guys have been around for a while now and proves the interest in R/C on the peninsula and surrounds.If we can get our club a suitable site than we are sure we can succeed as well and bring just another element to R/C to the peninsula.Im sure most of our members will eventually join up with MPRCCC in the future and enjoy racing on road as well (if you'll have us lol).And yes we hope to talk it over with your Prez and discuss the best way to approach the council for both clubs.And thanks LordFrosty for correcting my stuff up it didnt come out right lol

hi topcat. i have emailed the club prez and he did reply. but im not sure if he got my reply to him. if he wants to set a time and date we would be happy to meet. even if its during one of your clubs race meets that would be fine and it would give us a chance to meet you blokes at the same time.
