You were right a good day was had by all. I think I was kidding myself (and everyone else!) telling everyone the fog was going to lift by 10.00am! Noticed a lot of general public came to see the fun not to mention the extra trips to the local supermarket to fill up the bbq supplies for the extra unexpected visitors. The promotional activity is obviously working well.
The new trucks from the local hobby shop were viewed by many as an exciting new sport, something to watch out for in the coming months. The kids obviously enjoyed being the lunchtime entertainment, and the “kmart” class came back to entertain the adults.
We have some exciting news coming up regarding club cars and our new sponsor, more info will be available in our next newsletter – due out at the end of this month.
Regarding membership you are right we are back on track in the mid 20s with a race entry of 24 cars on Sunday. All in all a job well done to those members committed to making our great club even better, and making the sport available to those who would not normally be able to race, with members volunteering themselves to move the van around to different sites enabling the club to travel throughout the local community... our club’s motto should be ------- access all areas!! Will keep you posted as to when we will have this side of things up and running.
